Nate the quarterback for Valley is selected to attempt a million dollar throw on Thanksgiving night during halftime of the Patriots game. He was doing good until this happened. They ended up losing to teams they should have beat because he wasn't throwing the football as accurate as he used to be. He has a friend named Abby who is losing her eye sight because she has a disease called retinitis pigmentosa.

Manny is still not getting playing time in practice or games. One practice the coach has him playing on offense instead of defense. Manny gets a big play in the scrimmage during practice. They won a couple of football games. They have lost once so far this season.

Manny is at football practice on defense and is blocked before he can make the tackle. He learns who is on kickoff. He is excited for the opening game because if his teams kicks first he will be on the opening play of the season. He learns what he is suppose to do on kickoff.

Pedro Morales beat Ned Hancock in the school election for president. Also Ned and Pedro were working together on the basketball court. They beat the team that had been undefeated for 2 years straight. Ned told Pedro he voted for him because Pedro was the right person for the job.

Ned Hancock makes Pedro Morales throw a bad pass in a basketball game because Pedro thought he would cut to the basket. Pedro talks to a friend and they saw what was going on between him and Ned. Pedro does not do good at shooting before practice.

Pedro Morales is trying to get over his anger at Ned Hancock for making him look bad. Pedro decides he needs to have a good attitude instead of a bad one. Him and Ned are now working together on the basketball team.

Pedro Morales isn't himself in a basketball game because he isn't starting and Ned Hancock is making him look bad in practice so he won't start. Ned doesn't want him to start because Pedro is running against him in the class election for president. Joe Sutter is playing basketball with Pedro at Carinor park and Pedro is trying to see if Joe can tell that Ned is making Pedro look bad at practice.
