This is like a research documentary. A collaboration of entries that eventually tell one tale.
I liked it much better when it was just Johnathan Harkers journal. I get where it's all going, but I think that's because the story is familiar. Had I been reading this in 1897 I imagine I would have been frustrated and given up.
It is nice to read about Renfield and Van Helsing, all the characters that have spinoff movies

After just finishing Manslaughter Park, I'm feeling a bit inclined to give this one a second chance.

Strike 1 - lewd language. It's just such a turn off.
HOWEVER, because I love A Midsummer Night's Dream and was pleasantly surprised by that angle, I will stick with it and ignore the occasional profanity drop. For now.

How is it I can both love and hate this book, the writer? Feel like it is the best and worst book ever written. Love her writing and hate it all the same. Oh Fergus! Poor, poor Fergus. How is it even legal to put that in a book?
