I am loving this book so far. I love the magic system and the simplicity and accessibility with which this story is written.

Title read: Conscience in Art
This book is nothing but delightful so far. Of course, there are misses, but there are no truly bad stories. I love the way O. Henry writes—the simplicity and how every thing connects towards the end.

So far, the pacing is relatively okay. My only issue is how the characters met. It seemed rush–as if it was simply an afterthought and the focus was more on divulging the mystery than building relationship.

Read 2 stories today, The Gift of the. Magi and The Green Door; the former instantly became my favourite, the latter is my fiancé's cuppa.

Have you read any of these stories? What's your personal favourite?

Springtime a la carte was an adorable story. It was more unpredictable, so far, compared to the first stories that we've read. It's simplicity was nice.

50 books to read in 2025, and so far, I’ve finished 12—all manga! 📚✨ It’s been a great mix of genres, and I love how manga makes storytelling so immersive.

Still a long way to go, but I’m enjoying the journey! Are you keeping up with your reading goal? What’s been your favorite read so far? Let’s chat! 😊

Murakami's writing truly is accessible. What I don't find to be far from would be how he lays out his story. It just feels like it will never make sense. Moreover, he seems to like tying old men with young women. Despite that, it feels like he still has a hard time making his characters anything but bland.

I am really enjoying the thought behind this book but I'm quite thrown off by the amount of American content that it's putting out. Despite being one, I believe that the author should have focused more on the aspect of poetry more than just a singular revolution on things American.

I really love this collection. It's something that feels very nice to go back to from time to time. Or just pick up again and read a poem a day after finishing it.

The use of words in this book is absolutely stunning, but I'm having a really tough time following the story. It feels a little all over the place for me; or, maybe it's just because my head is not around fantasy stories right now.
