I picked this up because I've read there's ace representation, and the main character is ace!! I love this concept of certain kids seeing different portals, I'm curious about where this goes. There's also good trans rep in this too!

Hearing about her passing is devastating, and then I found out she wrote a memoir that came out a few months ago, so I decided to start the audiobook...because I like pain apparently 😅

I'm speed reading this because this is with a library that's further away from me, and another book I have out is due tomorrow, so I don't want to make more than one trip to return them 😂 I like that it's a quick read but the traveling is starting to get old

I'm really glad I decided to read this on audiobook because I'm not sure I'd continue otherwise 😅 It's not bad, it's actually a beautiful story, and I love the way Travis interacts with people and how they instantly know him when they're about to die. But the chapters are long and this is quite sad, so listening to this like a podcast is the way to go imo.

I was afraid this story was going to be slow when they started traveling, but I'm pleased to see that it's kept my attention. I really like this author's writing style.

This is really, really good, but it's also very sad so I haven't wanted to listen to a lot at one time.

It just occurred to me: if this book is from a different character's POV...does this mean the main character from first book is going to die? 😅

Solid start! I appreciate that the story kicks off right away, and it's interesting having the sequel from a different character's POV

Just started the audiobook for this for the Community Picks challenge. This is a good premise, but I'm side-eyeing the main character so hard for getting in a car with a guy she doesn't know.

I can't stop reading this, this is addictive. I may finish this tonight because I'm very, very curious to find out what happens.

This whole concept of reliving your life depending on what choices you make and then backing out whenever you want sounds too good to be true. I'm sensing there's a huge 'but' coming 👀

Ayyyy one of the side characters is aroace!!!

I love that the cats get a lot of screentime (page-time?) and have become a big part of the story. I know I should've expected it since 'cat shelter' is literally in the title, but I was more also expecting the cats to be a cute thing we see every once in awhile, so I'm very pleasantly surprised by this.

I already love Havelock 😂

Getting back to this for the Worlds Away and Chart Toppers challenges. I love how this author's writing style has a whimsy element to it.

Ironic that the very next story is zombie themed and I just finished The Walking Dead, it's fate 😂
