Honestly, this trope is the only trope I can stand in these "sweet rom-com" type books, so a lot of my gripes are because of the genre. Like how this seems like a Christian book in disguise. "Sweet baby pickles," really? LOL.

Besides that, the character's conversations with each other about things that happened in the past feel more like narration than dialogue. I like the characters, so I'm going to keep reading.

I love Georgette Heyer. She is, without a doubt, my favorite author. However, this is the third time I'm going to attempt to read this book. (Friday's Child) Wish me luck. lol.
