This was a tough read for me for many reasons, but the story overall was incredible. I loved that it spanned multiple generations of Iranian women living in both Iran and America. It brought tears to my eyes, definitely not a light read in any sense whatsoever but so powerful in many ways.

I’m like the only person who likes Chaol. That’s my boy 🥹 I enjoyed this THOROUGHLY. I’ll be honest and say I probably would not have liked this as much if I did not do the tandem read. It was great seeing what everybody was up to in real time. I couldn’t put this down either just like EOS and absolutely love love love all the world building! Excited to see where the teams go next!

Mmmm. I’ve read more interesting snippets of poetry.

Oh man. This was so SO good in the last 150-200 pages. The pace quickened and the stakes were so high I was on the edge of my seat. Unfortunately the first 250-300 pages were a bit tough for me to get into, which is why I only rated this at 4 stars. I’m excited to know what happens next and can’t wait to jump into the next book!

Such an incredible read! Inspiring on so many levels. I love how although I am neither blind, nor deaf, I was able to relate to so many of the thoughts that bubbled in Haben’s mind. It just proved that regardless of whether or not you have a disability, we are all human at the end of the day and are more similar than we think.
