I started this last july or august and then put it down forever...today and tomorrow i'm going to try and make a push for the end or else i will never finish it!! 😤

I read this 13 years ago (!) so a re-read is in order before the tv series comes out next month!

I started this months ago and didn’t get very far in before life got in the way, but sat down today and read up to chapter 14. I am emotionally broken!! Don’t look at me!!

Not only am I reading this in the original but I’m reading it without any problems! - I thought it would be much harder and it’s been ages since I actually read anything in Russian; but having such a gap in reading russian-language stuff shows how much I’ve come on in that time. I can speak Russian after all!!

I was worried that this would be too difficult to read in the original but it's turning out to be absolutely fine. i've been toiling away at russian for so many years & it's so satisfying to think that now I can read a 19thc novel without any problems. I can speak russian, after all! I really can!
