Absolutely loved Raise High the Roof Beam Carpenters

honestly not vibing with the writing, it's very generic (things like "sticky dance floor, childlike joy, etc...) not to sound pretentious but some of these overused phrases really drive me up the wall I'd honestly rather no adjectives at this point.

I'm going to keep reading though to see if the plot shapes up to be anything interesting, the author has a screenwriting background and it was a Reese Witherspoon pick

NOT the point of the book at all, but this Micheal Cunningham character is so hot ? Like I’m picturing him like mike from Suits (prison era) but with more Prince Charmingness to him ? And also he’s so interesting and sexy ? Like I know the author did not intend me for to thirst over this man, and maybe romances are rotting my brain - but I love him.
