It is devastating how much this Sci-Fi, written in the 90s is describing things actually happening in the US. And what it is the beginning of. I have to read it in portions.

Not sure to finish this one.
Well written, but I don't manage to make out why this book was written. I can't hear the voice of the author in all the din of war and extreme violence.
The way traumatism is instrumentalized to make the whole plot move on repells me, reminding me of "Joker" - as if violence was the main and only reaction to traumatism. Seems the author was looking for an excuse for her orgies.
