Yeah can't do it...I'm all for people with issues and PTSD but why make Emery sound like an arsehole right off the bat. I already really don't like him based on the writing and the way he 'talks'. He doesn't only have problems, he's ridiculously rude.

What the fuck am I reading....A mother who calls her son Bae, a barkeep that tells her customer I'll murder you if you don't leave...the writing is childish...already.

Eh I feel like this is more about him being gay than a romance or anything else. Everything is coming second to the fact that his family and team mates don't support him. I'm almost half way through and it's getting old. So much negativity. Michael is also doing my head in with self shame and projecting it on others.


Maybe I'm not in the right headspace for this one.

Skimmed like 60% of this. Was not for me in writing style. Call the Coroner and this book, it feels like 2 different author's.

Call the Coroner is in my top 5 all time favourite books. This one I won't read again and I'm not sure I can go on with the series. Pity because all I wanted was more Avril Ashton.

Stuck...not sure which way to go yet. Don't dislike it, don't love it.

I'm finding it really hard to get into this after reading Call the Coroner and Dig your Grave...the writing style is so different. I'm a huge fan of Insta love but this is lacking in depth right now. Will pause here and come back to it later. I need something darker and more gritty so I'm going to jump ahead to her more recent books and reconnect with Avril there.

My life has been crazy this last month. I am so exhausted at the end of everyday I end up reading 1 line of my book and then falling asleep. I will not make my reading challenge this year 😔

I'm in such a book funk. I've reduced my reading challenge, I'm so far out. Also thank you Goodreads for reminding me how many books I forgot to add a read date for...whoops!

Currently rereading this series. There's nothing like this before an Australian Christmas. The heat and the dirt, so perfect.
