In Chapter 12, page 57, the character Ismé, new girl from year 3 and friend of Alice, is all of a sudden called Isha. She's also not included on the list of fourth year girls at the start of the book. I actually don't recall who some of the characters on this list are! And then, in Chapter 17, page 82, she's Ismé again. Sloppy editing!!

I give this less than one star. It was terrible.

I've considered quitting this book on just about every page so far. I just want to know how this series ends after investing time into the previous two books, but holy sh*t, it's terrible. Pretentious word vomit on every page.

On pause for now (aka it was due back to the library)

I won this book in GoodReads First Reads giveaway. It arrived just as the social distancing/quarantine/work from home/school from home restrictions were actioned. I opened the yellow packing envelope to find the book beautifully packaged in special Paris Library paper. I almost didn't want to open it; but I did, & then the book sat on my shelves for two months. I discovered I didn't have it in me to read, until now.

Love, love, LOVED the Serafina series, so I can't wait to dive into this one!
