I'm liking this book a lot, but I think it would be better if I'd read the earlier books in the series first. There are some terms and concepts that aren't as well defined as they should be, and I think that's because I'm picking up the series many books in.

I love her writing style. It's crisp and bold without an excess of words.

I'm really liking this one, though the bit I mentioned about the dragon's teeth did bug me. There's also the fact Erik told her he was a viking, which she seems to have conveniently forgotten in her musings about how old he was. Still, this is a much better book than Kiss of Fury.

Okay, the thing with the Dragon's Teeth... Eileen knew they weren't in the box anymore, so why does she react the way she does when Erik takes -an empty box!- That's the fatal flaw in this book as far as I'm concerned. I just hope there aren't more.

I like this book very much... so far. After the disappointment of book 2 in the series, I'm holding my final judgment in reserve on this one.

Found it again, misplaced it again. Not sure I'm going to like this one but I'm hoping I do.

Found the box this one was in, need to slip it into my queue between Kiss of Fate and Master of Swords since I got it months ago.

Picked it up, but now I can't find the box it's in. I really want to read this one soon.

Plodding along, this one is rather dry reading.

I'm reding this one really slow since I'm caught up reading the Dragonfire series by Deborah Cooke. But this book is well written and interesting so far.

Despite the flaws in Kiss of Fury, I'm looking forward to reading this one. It's got to be better, right?

*sighs* Sorry Ms. Cooke, but you really should have done more research on how car engines work. Your lack of knowledge is showing to the detriment of the book.

So far I've found 4 continuity errors, though two are minor and probably went unnoticed by most readers. The editing leaves a lot to be desired in this book.

Some serious continuity errors and a really lackluster edit mar this book.

Hmmm...

In addition to that continuity gaff, I've found a few sentences and a couple of paragraphs that were so awkwardly worded it left me shaking my head. So far this is my least favorite of the Dragonfire books. Sadly, I doubt that feeling will change. I don't like Alex, she's a boneheaded idiot.

Interesting so far.
