i had to return this to the library last summer before getting much of a start on it, then it got lost in the stacks for about a year before finally showing up again a couple weeks ago. finally back on it

finally picked up again and got through the the part on crimes, which was building up to something very interesting before ultimately falling a bit flat. still got me intrigued enough to push on with the last section, which so far hasn’t been inspiring - we’ll see where it goes

On hold for now; I enjoyed the third section but I’m getting bogged down in the part about the crimes. Haven’t had a good time to just sit through the whole thing and it doesn’t lend itself to picking up and reading ten pages here and there, so we’ll wait a bit. If the book abruptly ended here, I’d call it an intriguing disappointment, but I’m looking forward to the last section.
