Four: A Diveregent Series was my favorite book this year because it gave me the background information to better understand Four's characteristics. As a result of his father's beatings, Four became serious and feeling abandoned. Four changed classes to get away from his father. He didn't know anyone from dauntless prior to his change so he was a loner. I l this book because gave me a better understanding of Four.

If I had to choose any book that shares some similarities with the Perfect Season it would probably be Four: Diveregent Series Book because both Troy and Four had struggling times with their father. Troy was going to go to a nice private school with all of his friends but as a result of his dad taking all the money, he went to a trashy school. Also, Four went to a different fraction to get a way from his father.

If I could interview anybody in my book I would probably interview Troy because he is the main character. Also, I would like to know more about him because I just started this book. I would ask him,"how do you feel about your dad leaving you?" Next, I would ask him,"would you still like to go to the private school still or would you like to rebuild the horrible team you are on now?"

Jake Carreon is finished with Genghis Khan (A Wicked History)
Genghis Khan has developed through his life from a little boy living in a village to becoming the leader of the biggest empire ever. Genghis has become more tyrant like. Also, his dreams have changed, before he just wanted an opportunity and now he is trying to take over the whole entire world. I think that killing his brother was the first major event and the next hundreds of people just made him crazy.

I chose this book because this was the book I was reading before spring break. This book is about the brutality of Genghis Khan. I chose this book because knew nothing about him. I like autobiographies and I was just interested in reading about him and what his legacy left behind. I think that the stuff I am reading is very mature. Also, these are short but very informational books.

I think the most interesting part of Genghis Khan's life was how he became the leader of his group or tribe. His father got poisoned and died so there needed to be a new leader. It was between his older brother and himself. Genghis lured his brother in by having an invitation to hunt. They went to the middle of nowhere, where Genghis shot an arrow at him and killed his own brother just for power.

Jake Carreon is finished with Henry VIII (A Wicked History)
Henry VIII has affected not my life but government. He gave the people of England the realization that we need to set limits on our government officials. When killed or exiled all of his wives, it showed his cruelty and evil. His actions were important because it showed how insecure he was. This shows an example about why democracy is better than monarchy.

Henry VIII received his nickname because he killed or exiled all of his wives. He killed them because they couldn't give him a male heir to the throne. He punished all of them. In actuality, it was his fault that he couldn't have an heir to the throne. The male either brings the X or Y chromosome or boy and girl. Henry VIII was born on June 28, 1491 in Greenwich, England. He is an infamous killer and a bad man.

Jake Carreon is finished with Catherine the Great: Empress of Russia (A Wicked History)
Catherine the Great was in a failed arranged marriage with the immature and childish Peter III of Russia. His aunt was the empress of Russia until she died. Peter III was supposed to be the next emperor but Catherine stole it from him. Peter was a coward and wasn't ready to control all of Russia. He was also was irresponsible with drinking too much and getting into fights with his bodyguards.

I feel bad for Catherine the Great because her mom forced her to marry a prince. Her mother was so obsessed that when Catherine had a demented back, she got a special to punch it back in place. Catherine's real name is Sophie Friederike Auguste von Anhalt-Zerbst-Dornburg but was renamed after marriage. She was very smart, critical, and not very beautiful. She married Peter who told her that he didn't even love her.

Jake Carreon is finished with Sir Francis Drake (Wicked History)
Charles Nick wrote this book because he wanted to tell the young generations about the venturesome Sir Francis Drake. This book talks about how he lived in Plymouth and was a ordinary boy and how he became the most feared and hated by Spain. Mr. Nick wrote this book so that he could tell the shortened but true story of Francis Drake. Charles Nick told us about what hardships Drake had to overcome to become a knight.

Jake Carreon is finished with Four: A Divergent Story Collection (Divergent, #0.1-0.4)
I cannot relate to Four in the book because he was beaten. As a result, he had to separate from his abusive dad. If there is two things I could relate to him is strength and leadership. Also, he has a different job, I am a student, he is a trainer. Next, he is uncomfortable around people and has a lot of alone time. I like hanging out with my friends and don't like being alone.

In the second section of this book, Four chooses his faction, Dauntless. He goes through a series of challenges such as fighting, knife throwing, and fear simulation. Four fights Eric (future nemesis) and beats him. He does very well and becomes the best initiate in his class. As a result, the dauntless leader asks him to become a leader but Four rejects. Also, in his fear simulation, he sees his father beating him.

If I could interview anybody in my book, I would interview Four. I would ask him,"Why didn't you fight back when your dad(Marcus Eaton) beat you?" In the book, Four's four fears were heights, small spaces, killing the innocent, and his dad beating him. Knowing that his dad's beatings were one of his fears. Four would reply," I was too scared of him to fight back. He would beat me even more."

I Am Number Four would be greatly changed if it wasn't the perspective of John Smith. For instance, if it was the perspective of Number Six, than the views would be different. She is smart, brave, hero like, tough and experienced. However, John Smith is not as experienced or brave Number Six. John thinks of her as a god but she thinks of him like a toddler, always having to get out of trouble.

In I Am Number Four, there are good and bad parts. For example, a good part was when John Smith is fighting the Mogadorians at the school. I like action and this was fun and great part of the book. My least favorite part of the book was the exposition. It was very boring. I know it is necessary for a book but I think that Pattacus Lore could have done a better job.

When I was reading I Am Number Four, they said that when the Mogadorians killed one of the six that a ring would be burned into the ankles of the remaining five. So when John Smith had three rings on his ankle than he knew that he was next. They had to survive until they became older and powerful enough to return to Lorien and take back their home and receive new identities.

I would not want to be a character in I Am Number Four because the characters are hunting or being hunted. John Smith was just an ordinary boy who's life changed realizing that was being hunted. l don't know about you but I don't want to be a character who is going to be killed. Also, I am fine with the life I have right now because I am a soon to be dead Lorien.

I just finished my young adult book, The Maze Runner and now I'm on my new book. I have just started so I finished the exposition and know the conflict and starting the rising actions. The main character is an alien(Lorien) named John Smith and he has a guardian(father) named Henri which is supposed to protect him at all costs. The Lorain planet was taken over by Mogadorians so they sent out 9 Loriens to Earth.

I feel that The Maze Runner is a fantastic book and I would give a 9/10 rating. I gave it a 9 rating because it had a great storyline. However, sometimes it was hard to follow. I would recommend this book to the young teens that are in middle school. I would
recommend the Maze Runner for them instead of older people because it would be below their reading level and the Maze Runner wouldn't be appropriate for kid.

At the beginning of The Maze Runner, Thomas arrives at a strange place called the Glade. His memory is wiped out but he can syill remember is his name. He comes to Glade by going up an elevator shaft. After a while of living at Glade, he realizes that he is stuck and the only way to get out is through the maze but the grievers will kill them. A girl comes out of the same shaft to say," Thomas," and then pass out.

If I was the author, the changes I would make would be to have the greivers have a weakness so that the boys could have at least a fight with the
them. I would make this change because I would have liked a fight between a griever and Thomas. It was fun when he ran away from the griever and it got smushed from the moving walls. However, I like a lot of action and the fight seen would be satisfying.

Thomas was seeing how the gates were closing and how one of the runners was stung while the other one was caring him. He realizes that they can't make it through. He runs right before the "doors" close. They are terrified that the Greviers are going to get them. The maze is always changing so when Thomas was running, one of the Greviers got smushed but one of the closing doors. Other boys come to see the griever

James Dashner's purpose in writing The Maze Runner is for entertainment. His message he is trying to tell us is leadershipbravery, strength, and not giving up. He expresses these traits with Thomas.

I can not relate to Thomas in the Maze Runner because he is ignorant and clueless. I can't relate to him trying to escape because I don't know what escaping feels like. Also, the boys don't have technology, are less civilized, and they don't have the same medicine, We have iPads and antibiotics for the sick.
