I'm rereading this one (Or actually listening to the audiobook) because I'm about to start working on the expanded edition ending. And holy crap I love this book. First of all on the audio Jason Clarke and Addison Barnes were both PERFECT for their respective roles. And when I listen to this I honestly can't believe I wrote this. I love Macy's weird facts.

also not sure why I didn't mention it about Gold Mine yesterday but holy shit balls at that cliffhanger!

I'm only 1 book behind schedule now and only 5 books to go for the year.

I have to finish 6 more books this year to hit my 2025 challenge.

I need to listen to 9 more books by the end of the year! (I'm 4 behind schedule.)

I am LOVING this book. I have NO idea what's going to happen or how it all ties together but this book is CRAZY. (not a romance. it's a mystery/thriller, but you can tell the author is a woman because she understands women's lived experience too much and the women don't sound like they're in a Noir film from the 1940s)

I can confidently say I want this to happen to me. Stumble upon a blockbuster that shouldn't be there, walk in and go back in time to 1999. Yes, please. ALSO she gets to go back to the age she was in 1999 but with her current wisdom and memories. SIGN ME UP! Needed a bit of a break from dark and filthy. Will get back to Psyop Kings and Kiss of the Basilisk after this.

OMFG this book is SOOOOOOOO FILTHY!!!!!

This is a SLOW burn... like... they don't kiss until book 2 and don't "do it" until a later book. And the other books aren't out yet. I don't know how many books there will be though.

I can't imagine how on earth these two are going to get to Bow Chicka Wow Wow.

so... I'll be honest, rereading this... Geissinger is either a genius or wrote a structurally broken story. The naturalistic explanation has too many plot holes, loose threads, major major freaking problems. The supernatural reading is coherent, everything ties up neatly, nothing is left dangling. I'm still siding with the supernatural plot is the real plot and the naturalistic tagged on explanation is a cover story.

I have to complete 15 more books by the end of the year to hit my 52 book reading challenge. I am 8 books behind. Yikes.

this is a short one. Only 1 hour and 19 minutes audio time, so I'm going to listen to this after I finish my re-listen of Blackthorn so I can catch up on all the books I'm behind!

Yes, I'm starting a re-read of this right after I finished it. I need to experience it again, knowing the facts I know now about the ending so I can process it.

This is listed as book 4, but book 3 is short stories/prequel I may listen to that one once I'm caught up on this series, but this is the book that follows number 2 in the main storyline. I think there is one more book coming in this series in march and then it will be complete.

I'm so enraged by these characters I hope she kills prince charming and snow white. They are AWFUL people. This Evil Queen really proves the saying: "Villains aren't born, they're made."

I'm childfree & have no maternal instincts or desires but the way I BAWLED when this woman lost her baby. OMG. She went to the grocery store & the cashier said: "Where's your new baby." & she said: "Dead" & the woman said: "Oh, honey, I'm so sorry. Sometimes God needs a new rose for his garden." At which point the author wrote: "F*ck God & his garden of dead babies." Possibly the most brilliant line I've ever read.

I've read all the books a long time ago but I've never done the audios, so here I go. Going with the original Jim Dale version... his accent is less aggressive.

I'm loving this one. It's about a Fake Medium who is hired by an old woman to get rid of her friend's ghost so he can sell his farm. But the friend is a hot man and he's a skeptic and thinks the fake medium is scamming his friend. But there is an actual real ghost and only the fake (real?) medium can see him. The ghost is hilarious.
