First boss fight! I really like the premise that the boss monsters aren't randomly generated/created, but are actual people the system/corporation took from earth and basically "repurposed". It adds a sense of how realistically horrifying the situation is, which is something the constant 'humor' (if you can call it that) takes away.

I was sceptical at first. I'm not the biggest fan of 1st person POV, and then it kept switching between Kai and Alex.
But it reads surprisingly smoothly. Though it is a bit annoying at times that Skyes repeats scenes just from different perspectives.
