Carol Aselton is finished with Courting Trouble (Rosato & Associates, #7)
This was not one of Lisa Scottoline's best books. Her books are usually quite entertaining and character's pretty real. This lacked both of those. Her descriptions of Philadelphia on 4th of July weekend were very good though. I really enjoyed hearing about the festivities. The ending did add some interest to the whole story , but still did not bring it to the top of Lisa's books.

Carol Aselton is starting The Paris Wife
I really enjoyed this book. It is not a "grab you by the seat of your pants" book, but quite intriguing view of how the "genius and artists" live and life in the 1920's. The author portrayal seemed true to life and the descriptions of the various locations, etc. was quite good. This has now whetted my appetite to learn more about Ernest Hemingway and that whole era of the "Paris life." Good read.

Good book. At lot of characters involved. Can be a little tedious reading. Not Lisa Jackson's best one.

Can remember reading Harold Robbins' "Carpetbaggers" in high school. Then it was considered "racey." I am thinking "Where Love Has Gone" would be considered racey by 60's standards also. The book is good. Quite intriguing. It is narrated by "Luke" the main character, and once you step into his life, you can't wait to hear what else he has to say. Life back then was at a different pace, no laptops, no cell phones
