One of the things I love about Kaje's writing is the way she uses a word to nail an idea.

I've just started and already I'm having issues! The first page reads like it was a het romance someone turned into a M/M... and no one bothered to change the pronouns from she and her to he and his. :s Not the best beginning.

I'm really liking the way this story quietly creeps up on you. The layers of the story just unfold, pulling you deeper, not only into the hunt for the mage and great cat, but the tentative relationships beginning to forge. And though I have my ideas on who is what and how it's going to get where it needs to be, I am anxious to find out what happens next.

This one isn't bad, so far. It's not as immediately grabbing as the 1st or the 4th.

This story keeps getting more and more intriguing.

Here there were fewer people out, and the dying blooms from the lilacs scented the air like an old lady's linen closet. I love the memory this sentence invokes.

So, Seth gets hurt nearly from the start of the story, and is sequestered in a cabin while in wolf form for 2-3 days. Who's taking care of his dog, Bullet?

After reading the reviews, I'm almost in dread of reading this.

The actual story is off to a great start, but I would feel better about it if the English Lit teacher were teaching English Lit! The Great Gatsby and To Kill a Mockingbird are not English lit.
