I don’t know why I stopped reading this at 60% more than five years ago. I picked it back up and kind of recall what was happening. GGK is one of my favorite authors.

I liked the opening that showed Shuggie at age 15. Sadly, I couldn’t get past the Agnes and Shug slog through the dialect and colloqiualisms. There might be a great story of how Shuggie overcame his upbringing, but I checked it out for free and put it down for the same cost.
