Our male lead Alex is what I think Colleen Hoover was trying to go for with Miles. But unlike Miles, Alex is not a total wet mop and lowkey creep. Instead he is a garden variety, premium grade Asshole who 'isn't like other guys'. Cue eye roll.

Doesn't matter, because he is still a reprehensive POS and this is all you deserve you dickwad.

I am 1000% being petty and nit-picking but is there a point behind the Miles' flashbacks (with his former 'love' Rachel) formatted to be in the centre of the page? Is it symbolic of how this woman became the sole focus of his life that he revolved everything around? Am I reading too much into this? Just find it super jarring against every other scene (esp in his chapters) in this book.
