HALF WAY IN AND WE FINALLY HAVE SPEECH MARKS!!!

Meeting the male love interest unlocked new grammar options

From the narrator's maladaptive dreaming about the gardeners - "A great gardener is an artist of eternal murder"

The lack of speech marks in this book is really testing my ability to concentrate

"You are mine, you shall be mine, you and I are one for ever"
"Are we related?"

How can I take this book seriously after such a funny exchange

just like london, I am falling short of time to finish this book. 48 hours to go until book club!!

oh dear oh dear, this is becoming so cute

All these food descriptions are making me SO EXCITED for my upcoming 6 hour layover in Taiwan

damn roald dahl really hates beards

This is framed so well

damn I'm so stressed about her father winning the house he's so evil

Ok that twist was so well written I had to go back and reread the page to see if I missed any signs

Because what else would you want to read on a 6am flight

umm WHAT THE HECK

book club choices this month are wild

lowkey tempted to make my next birthday party night circus themed, there is SO much to work with

I thought this was going to be a cozy sci-fi, now I just feel really sad for these robots

Keeping up with back-to-back book clubs is hard work 😭

Currently it just feels like I'm reading about someone going through psychosis

normally I love a nonlinear narrative, but this is jumping around so much I'm going to get motion sick

have anything to say about this short read, naomi???

it's my reward for catching up on my reading goal 🙂‍↕️

hmm I think I'm warming up to the style now I've read more it

some beautiful writing, but we're jumping between big ideas and stories so quickly everything feels hollow

at this point, the only way this book can be redeemed is by killing off jessamine PLEASE
