This is absolutely ridiculous. I can't stand how so many romance novelists get away with shoddy characters with positively infantile motivations and the most sapless standards I've ever encountered, and I've read Twilight. I love the genre, but this is a critical and disappointing flaw.

This is ridiculous and I am deeply disappointed in an author I had been cultivating a respect for. The shame.

He rescued her from near-rape and then tried to put the moves on her the moment he had her alone? This from the supposed guru in all things female? This girl hates him, is repulsed by even the simplest touches from him, and it certainly wouldn't take all of that for someone not to want to be fondled after sexual assault. This isn't romantic, it's actually fairly offensive.

This is painful. The characters are boring and I hate them. The plot moves at a snail's pace, and I think Lindsey wrote in an approximation of medieval language to sound smarter, but it makes reading this cliche story all the more mind-numbing.

I'm sighing so often reading this. I feel like Fred Savage in The Princess Bride, "Is this a kissing book?" this is one of those "he's so sexy I can't even brain" books. Seriously, I've read way dirtier books that still managed to use the word 'sexy' less. This isn't going to be getting many stars.

I'm finding it harder and harder to believe this is the same author who wrote A Knight in Shining Armor. I'm not even 60 pages in and I know this is going to take forever to read because I have to take so many pauses to vent my frustration at the obvious Deus ex Machina, the second rate dialogue, and the sheer stupidity of the characters. Something I was so excited for is swiftly proving to be a huge disappointment.
