Reading this for the second time before I start the miniseries on Netflix, and remembering why I loved the book so much the first time!!!

I have to say, so far I’m bored. I am also not loving the long retellings of pandemic life. Too soon, maybe? And, so help me, if the protagonist, who is supposedly an educated, professional woman, phrases any more questions with “how come,” I’m giving up. For example, Diana asks, “…How come you speak English so well?” Yes, that’s an actual quote from the book. Oy.

I’m not sure what I was expecting, given the author and the title, but so far this is boring me to tears. Couple #1: “I love you!” “No, I love you!” Couple #2: “But I love you.” “I know. I love you so much!” Lather, rinse, repeat.

So eclectic and interesting! Not finished yet, but loving it so far—still have a ways to go. Until then, it looks great on my coffee table! And already a couple people have picked it up to skim through and read a few entries. Great conversation piece :)
