Beautifully written, the journey of redemption, and the ending had me holding back my tears.

I bought back in November and I'm reading it at work. The writing style just screams one of those books your teacher makes you read I. High school for English. It gives that kinna vibe. I couldn't keep up.

I also feel sad for Elwood.

I'd re read it if I find it difficult to understand.

The repetitive mentions of blue eyes [eyes roll] This screams eurocentric beauty standards made me cringe everytime.

All I'm gonna say is that Mateo before meeting Rufus exhibited my early twenties. Miss out because I was afraid and didn't get out my character or comfort zone. Rufus on the hand is the extrovert friend every introvert friend needs.
