It’s alright, but I’m not a fan of books that rely so heavily on shock value. Also, it’s the same 3 themes being repeated over and over again. Sex, money, and occasionally drugs

The ‘tell not show’ is really dragging it down. So much telling us who the characters are. So little letting the characters exist and letting us find out about them in our own time. As Pearl puts it ‘a tableau of a family’.
