Enjoyed reading this book- took me back to my own days as a pretentious, naife, self-important college grad. Glad those days are over lol. Mystery played out well. As usual when reading an enjoyable book had some chagrin turning that last page to say goodbye.

Enjoying this book, though it is a slow read. The author is very comprehensive in treating so many aspects of geoengineering- I really appreciate it. His understated and sometimes darkly humorous presentation is not inappropriate, given the topic and its import. I hope this book drives the conversation, and then the policy needed, although I am not convinced it is the best solution.

I almost feel like I am re-reading zeroville, or it's sequel from last year... the savant drenchingly immersed in the entertainment industry. Moby's memoir is also starting to get under my skin a little... women calling him a 'pure soul' which it seems he still believes about himself, as if he is Dostoyevsky's Idiot stumbling through life with an innocent naivete.

I love the story, but still find the chapters way too long... I've been reading the series out loud at bedtimes and the story moves so slowly.. I think he could be more sparing with his words...

I'm trying so hard to finish reading this out loud to the kids but it just draagggggsssss on and on. Meloy just seems too fascinated with his own cute turns of phrase and obtuse ideas that the story is bloated beyond necessity. Same thing happened with Under Wildwood too... But determined to finish this series so keeping on keeping on!!!

This third in the series has been slow going the first half. Things are now starting to heat up so I hope the momentum keeps picking up to a cracker of a finish.
