Is this the only Beach Boys book to actually question Bugliosi’s “Helter Skelter” nonsense? References some of the same evidence that Tom O’Neil talks about in his book CHAOS.

Not really onboard with Weiner’s claim that the CIA has failed at its primary goals. I’d say it has succeeded, and that “national security” was never one of its main interests in the first place.

Why am I slowly translating my way through a French book about a reclusive and politically-suspect post-punk band? I don’t speak French, I don’t wear edgy t shirts, so why am I here? Who cares, the book is interesting so far.

This would not be my first choice as far as reading materials go but duty calls

This is an absurd undertaking. There’s like 4000 pages of this. Most of it probably ghostwritten, too. Still, surprisingly readable so far considering what a bizarre propaganda artifact this is. See you on the other side.
