This book is making me laugh out loud even more than the first book. Osric Mordaunt is hilarious.

It’s a bit cringe when a novel starts with killing and “no mercy” when there’s no context as to why a regime or dictatorship demands such practices. It’s difficult to ease into a book and find motivation to unravel why the narrator was behaving as such. Ughhh zzzz

I’ll try to read some more HAHAH I’m literally 2% into the book acc to my kindle lol

Okie done with book! It only got interesting or the pacing only improved by the middle when I saw the small connections of tengo and aomame. I think it was dragging for me because I’m no longer used to slow-paced books

I’m liking the way Esquivel I integrated magic in this novel so far (secret I won’t say! Read the book)! I predicted it though. Also, 3 chapters in, it’s already so intense. I think this is a book I could finish in one sitting. But I’m savoring and saving it for majors class!
