Why do chapters keep ending abruptly?? I cannot feel the connection or tensionnnn

This does started out promising but I can’t like the female lead no matter how i try. She seems ok at first but then she is just mouthy and very annoying to me. I feel bad for Alex.
And the cliche. Everywhere.

Well, this book is a little ridiculous.
Maybe I am just too picky, since I want more romance in fantasy heavy books and more fantasy in romance heavy books.
Everything is best in moderate.

When you have 3 around 50% read books on your shelf and you want to finish none of them 😪🥲☹️

I am gonna try to read them up to 70% and if they fail to get my interest, I am gonna drop them. I think.
Hopefully, they get better. :’)

Help! I am thinking about reading all books in those mafia series just because I am intrigued by the world building and upcoming books. Although I have tried to read some of them and didn’t really like most of the characters.

I’m gonna skim through the rest of the book. Those sexual innuendos are becoming sexual harrassment to me

I am reading The Shadow Box and it was good so far but then Claire decided to turn towards Social Media, and do ridiculous printouts in secret, meet strangers from internet. That was a very bit of a stretch. I think that was plain stupid of her.

I have read about 20% of Second First Impressions and I am not liking it so far. I actually want to DNF it. Nothing is compelling me to keep on reading it. And it is frustrating because I was hoping to like the book. Ughh.

I am not hating this, but I am not liking this either.
So far, the excessive use of medical terms is becoming borderline ridiculous. I thought it could have been charming. But instead, it came off as very scientific, emotionless expressions to me. As a medical student, I can assure you no one thinks that way every time they see a patient.

This book is S-L-O-W SLOW. I am at 27% and there is no reall thrill or action. Just a lot of family dramas and flirting and other stuffs.

I really do hope that I can continue this. Sighs....

Wow. I just checked Goodreads choice awards winners and there is only 5 votes difference between 1st and 2nd place in Fiction category. That’s The Midnight Library and Anxious people. Seems like I just found my next read. Maybe

This year, I really did nothing but read romance. Some are fun, some are trashy. But anyways, I was very lonely and horny I guess

I have a lot of problems the main hero. The heroine is good but the hero is duh

I don’t even know if I want to finish the book or not. I have already figured out what is up just after Sadie’s talk with the police. The only person I am curious about it Imogen. Maybe I might skim through it. It is too tiring to read a vague hidden plot which is not so very well hidden.
