So far, I hate them all.

DNF. Shinda Rhimes helped write it, so if you've seen the Netflix series, you've read this book. No sense doing it all over again.

Armentrout's been teasing a threesome since the 2nd book and she just made it mandatory to the storyline... The three main characters must have a threesome or one of the main characters will die. CRINGE. These scenes are awful. I wish they didn't exist and we could just focus on the plot and not randomly placed and terribly written sex scenes where they discuss important things so you can't skip the grossness.

Thank God.

No no. No no no no no. That date. This happy little love story cannot be going there. Nope. I'm going to hold out hope it's a coincidence, but I know in my heart it's not, and this is going to crush me.

All these characters are really quite stupid. Instead of doing the right thing, the smart thing, they keep choosing to do the illegal thing. Also, Jake is an asshole. The fact that his wife doesn't seem to understand this and keeps putting value on him instead of her family rubs me the wrong way. Hoping for a huge twist to make this better. I do love that both women are teachers and the descriptions are spot on.

I have a feeling this is going to end on a cliffhanger with no resolution and it's gonna kill me.

Need something to happen soon or this is going to be a dnf. Good lord these characters are boring.

I hate Nesta. I hated her in book 1 and was happy she was out of the picture early on, but then she came back book 2 and was even more important to book 3, and I am just not a fan. This 4th book being all about her is torture because of my strong dislike for her. Your personal trauma does not ever make it okay to traumatize others, and though Maas tries to make her into a redeeming character, she falls flat with me.

I can't tell you the number of times that I have smiled because of Fehre's cunning. I'm so proud of her.

I have so many theories. Dying to know what really happened! Car accident? I don't think so.

I really have no idea what's happening and I'm 13 hours into this 18 hour book. This one is definitely not for me, but I'm invested enough that I'll turn the speed up and finish it tomorrow.

This needs a trigger warning. I was NOT ready for the imagery of a little boys death. It's a great novel, emotional, poignant, and real, but man. I was not ready for that description.

Almost put this book down in the beginning as the prologue was SO slow and boring. Andy's inability to think/make decisions was already on my nerves within the first few pages. Then the action finally hits, and it gets exciting... But Andy remains dull and incapable of making decisions or "snapping out of it" so often that I really want to slap her. I definitely want to know what her mom's past is, but man.

This is not my normal read, but I heard an interview with the author this afternoon on NPR today and it so perfectly fit with the conversation my students were having today, day one of their new unit: Night and In the Time of the Butterflies. We briefly discussed the current events between Russia and the Ukraine, and I think reading this will help continue the conversation as well as help with the overall unit.

Slow going. Doesn't help that I haven't felt any connection with the mc yet.

Only 11% in but this has got my full attention, hook, line, and sinker.

Having a hard time reconciling that this really caring 18yr old Snow who finds the games a bit repulsive is going to turn into a greedy bastard eventually.

This is so good. The dramatic irony is killing me, though! Gotta figure it all out!!

Man, this MC is asking to get killed. She blatantly makes stupid decision after stupid decision, and I'm certain she lives, which is even more mind boggling. She's an idiot, and I'm always mad at her.

You know, if Cassie gets knocked off, I'm not gonna feel badly about it. She makes so many dumb mistakes that I'm beyond tired if her; it's like she's trying to get herself killed.

This book is just as good as all the hype surrounding it, and I'm already edging to the 5 stat category. I love it!

This novel is not like other Grisham novels. Not really about trials and all I've come to expect and love. I don't care about any of these characters. And have found thos novel drags often.

What higher praise for Harlan Coben than to be voraciously talked about by the characters in a King book?! Also... kinda seems like at this point the MC just dipped out, so where is the story going to go, now? So many pages left. Excited to keep going.

Reminds me so strongly of M. Night Shyamalan 's LADY IN THE WATER.
