I am wondering why I have pushed through this book at all. Helena is a slave to the Flame. How can anyone love someone so devoted to something that never gave two shits about her. Meanwhile Alanis would move heaven and earth to keep her safe only to her spat in his face for doing so. She makes mistake after mistake after mistake. This is such a depressing book. I will finish bc I must know after giving so much time
