I love books like this. A documentary of sorts. This one was a tad over my head in parts,I appreciated the author making it about Henrietta Lacks' life as well. It's sad, informative, and inspiring.

Mystical and fantasy and romance meets Hunger Games. Not my usual genre but I was pleasantly surprised. I read AND listened to the audio... highly suggest that as the reader did an excellent job!

Good. Shed a tear or two. Slow at times but still interesting.

Interesting. Not my top 100. There were moments I almost chose not to read anymore. And I was a bit upset at the ending. Not that I needed a happy ending but a tad more closure. The obsession with love making and the nastier descriptions of their encounters were a tad off putting. I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone, but it was an easy read...a strange one, but easy.
