the plot is actually interesting, but the writing style is trying too hard. trying to be fun but failing so badly that i can't really read the text. there is a lot of useless fluff and nonsense comments. i also hate her family.

i'm at 10% and gosh i really hate the main character. yes, she's supposed to be ditzy but i just really hate the way she explains and talks about things and rambles a lot. uggghhhhhh

okay i hate the writing style so much.

i feel like this book has every cliche romantasy ingredient you can come up with. the writing itself is.... light, which i kinda like, but also... idk, it's somehow quite surface level and mc basically describes everything to the reader (internally). the writing style feels like something i'd come up, if i were to write a book now.

writing style is unusual and i don't think i'm in a right mood for it rn

slightly bothered by how young everyone is. a bit "18yo's ruling the whole world" vibe

reid's friends took it oddly fine that she's actually girl.

i am struggling. i'm around 40% and the book feels boring af. i feel like nothing has really happened so far.
