The information on wolves and rewinding, although this hasn’t happened in Scotland, is really interesting. As with most thrillers this is a bit far fetched but still very readable

An interesting background to My Family and Other Animals - I thought it might detract from it as it points out some of the inconsistencies of the book but in fact it makes the whole Corfu experience more understandable.

Not quite 4* but good.

I thought this book revolved round horse rearing and racing but it is mainly about race conflict. Beautifully written though with some odd ramblings - not a book if you are feeling low. 3.5

Im not sure. My first book by Strout. Beautifully written but meandering. No beginning, no real end. Just lots of links to Lucy Barton. 3.5

Disappointing - very slow repetitive first half. Redeemed by the second when it became interesting. But a good way to finish the series.

Good series though having read 1 and 3 they are a bit the same. Good police characterisation and interplay

I read #3 in the series first so started at the beginning - it sets the scene.

I read this as a teenager and loved the love story. This time around I found it rather repetitive. However the history of Singapore is gripping. Not quite 4* butcloser than a 3.

Beautifully written, a slowly moving snapshot - needs to be read carefully to appreciate it.

I read this out of sequence - thought it was the first in the series so obviously Ive missed things that have happened and explain why Grace is what she is. Whilst the premise was possibly a bit far fetched I liked the interaction of all the police officers and def want to continue the series but will have to read 1 and 2 first. Id give it 3.8

I have loved Helen Dunmores books but I found this really boring. Ended up skipping bits just to get to the end.
