Fantastic so far!! The most readable and "accessible" if you will, of de Sade's work that I have encountered as of yet. None the less fascinating in its character psychology and philosophical concepts though, at least so far. Lets hope this good first impression holds true!!

Great so far!!!!! Continues to make me further apreciate a band I already loved.

Moving along slowly but surely. Gary is a piece of shit but nonetheless sympathetic.... At times. The story definitely picked up once Nichole was introduced.

Holy shit Chuck has within the last few chapters introduced one of the most bizarre plot points and ideas I've ever read. I would expect nothing less. Another pretty big plot twist has been dropped in the past few pages too, that came out of fucking NOWHERE. Basically, this thing just keeps getting better and better. Palahniuk never disappoints and never fails to surprise and subvert all your expectations.

Great start. Different from what I was expecting, but it's not surprising for ol' Chuckie P. to throw me a curve ball right when I think I have him figured out.

Some parts are extremely cliche- painfully even. There is something that keeps me going though. Even if the scenes or writing can feel generic there is something compelling about the world building and I can see the plot picking up soon (hopefully). This has the potential to end a lot better than it has started- fingers crossed!!!

As brilliant as when I first read this. It's only getting better too, where I am in it.

One of the greatest novels I have ever read period. A true epic.

Writing is ok still. Interested to see how he is going to handle the ending.

The writing is surprisingly good. It's more what's being written that is the problem. Too much of the book is being spent on events that happened around the storyline, trying to set up context that is mostly unnecessary. Oh and then there is the obvious fact that Mary Jane and Peter are not fucking married , which is sooooo annoying.
