I’ve come to realise the author is fond of using fancy words in order to sound like the time period then dumbs it down, essentially saying the same this twice. It’s annoying and distracts from the story majorly. It’s a shame because the story is good

I want to like it but I hate this writing. It’s so pretentious and has no emotion. There’s a lot of telling, not enough showing and Elspeth is grating me with her “holier than thou” attitude

A Fugitive Green - 5/5 ⭐️

I absolutely loved this. Hal and Minnie are both great characters who compliment each other really well. Minnie is just plain awesome. I loved her attitude, her sarcasm and her ability to be unafraid of the unknown. I could not put my kindle down and I wish their story had been longer

Literally nothing remotely interesting has happened. I know it’s supposed to be slow burn (and I like slow burns) but this is taking the biscuit. Mel is a doormat, Ben is boring and Abi is a cliché. It’s so obvious what the big twist will be and what Abi is planning that I’m really struggling not to dnf

This was a good novella. It explored Jamie and Ian’s friends in a beautiful way, clearly showing Ian’s brotherly love for Jamie and giving us more insight on the relationship. It was tragic yet also beautiful
