Katie is reading Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful, #1)
I wish I could give negative stars, I thought this book was the literary equivalent of Jerry Springer. I'm embarrassed I even read it. Horrible.

I absolutely adored this book. The story was rich, full of magic, folklore and lots of history. I loved the characters, their relationships to each other and each of their stories. I have always loved Greek mythology and historical fiction is my favorite genre and this book was a perfect pairing of the two. Well written and well worth your time.

I absolutely loved it and it was so worth the wait! if you love the Outlander series this book is one of the best in the series! The first book is still my favorite but this one is a close second! I am so happy to be back on the ridge and I can't wait for the next book!

Katie is reading The Signature of All Things
I absolutely adored this book. It was so well written. There was a strong female lead character who I just couldn't get enough of. The conflict between religion and science was so fascinating and, I felt wonderfully argued. If you are looking for a quick read or an easy read this is not your book.

Katie is reading Fire Along the Sky (Wilderness, #4)
I loved it! Almost all of it took place in paradise and you got to really see the daily lives of the characters. the drama was great, I especially loved the scenes with Hannah and the soldiers as well as the love story between Lilly and Simon. Can't wait to read the next one in the series.

I just couldn't get through this book, the first part of the book was very good and I was really enjoying the story. Then, midway through the story became so dull I had to force myself to get back to it each time I put it down so I just stopped. I'm sure its a powerful story once you get through it but I just found it ok and not my cup of tea.

I absolutely loved this story. It was powerful, gritty, clever and incredibly thoughtful. I actually had to look away and take time to absorb certain sentences bc they were so profound and breathtaking. Hugh Howey has certainly made a mark on me with this work.

Reading and applying, its very informative and inspirational but its also over repetitive, I wish there was less spiritual stuff and more "meat" and substance.
