Lost the battle of disbelief suspension, gave up when the plot got far too complicated and folded back on itself....

Just made the jump — finished the sample and HAD to go ahead and spend the $9.99 (plus tax) to continue the revelations. Great suspense, foreshadowing and characters. OK, back to reading, now....

Intriguing premise, likeable characters, drama keeps me reading in bed at night long after I normally would put it down and sleep....

Downloaded a sample and couldn't stop reading it! Engaging characters, scary but definitely possible dystopian near-future. She writes such that I'm seeing her locales, and that's not common (too bad!). Read for at least an hour after going to bed last night — usually don't get to 5 minutes.... was VERY pleased to find it on Kindle Unlimited, and I'm pretty sure already that I'll be paying for voumes after 3!

Popularizer: she manages to get access to a whole lot of the giants in the various disciplines that are watching this current extinction, but her reporting of their work seems fairly pedestrian. Nonetheless, a book worth reading even if you had some basic knowledge of each of the various dimensions of the catastrophe.....
