Spoke too soon. The love has emerged from the box (metaphorically, since there are minimal boxes in this book) at 18%. I’m disappointed we’re doing this early. But I should have seen it coming (ha) with the amount of smutty smut smut so far.
Strap in (on), this is gonna be a long one (yeah, several of those in there too).

Started a buddy read with this one! So far it’s not as good as Him, but I suppose it’s early yet.

This cover is killing me. However, the book is fun.

Chapter 34: she’s on her period and has asked that fucking ponce of a pimple prince to leave seven fucking times. And he refuses. And then she smiles at him? No. Fuck off with that nonsense. He’s a dick. This is dumb. End rant.

This audiobook is amazing. Narrator Simon Vance. Blowing my mind.

Struggling to get into this one. My mood has changed I suppose :/

A lot of reviews for this were harsh, but I’m thoroughly enjoying the characters and plotline. Plus the narrator is phenomenal. Each voice (the 4 men in particular, so far) is distinct and perfect. It’s clear to me that the lovely narrator/actor spent some time playing with them prior to recording or is just naturally fucking talented.

This book sucks you in (Baha). But I have errands to run, so I must pause again :(

Damnit! I am loving this book. Audiobook as well since the narrators are lovely. Vidish Athavale’s voice is absolutely sumptuous.
And I’ve never cared about fashion until this author’s descriptions of colors and fabrics and fuck. Slow burn, and I care about the characters, even the secondary ones. 🤓

I promised myself I wouldn’t read more of these, but here I am, reading about dude’s third or fourth spit-take scene in less than 60 pages and rolling my eyes. If we hit 10, I’m skimming the rest.

I am learning so much from this book. Knife wounds v gunshot trauma, ‘counting coup,’ how to make a club out of rock and specific trees branches, which creatures you could potentially outrun, so fucking fascinating.
Can’t speak to validity, but enjoying the hell out of it.

Oh thank goodness, the author didn’t go with the obvious easy solution. Thank you, Jeff! Keeping me interested!

THIS. Why I struggled to read The Starless Sea by Morgenstern, is bc of this.

Yeah, I’m diggin this book. Totally picked it up bc I was curious about the show Tracker. And if you tell me something is based on a book, I MUST read that fucking book.
…still haven’t read Handmaid’s Tale. Still can’t watch the show. 🤷‍♀️

Audiobook is stellar. This lovely English woman, Mary Jane Wells, is flipping beautifully from her own English (I’m assuming), to Welsh, to Scottish, and then to bloody American. I love her.
Also:
“And he was riding a fucking bicycle. With a bell.” Mary Jane’s delivery of this seemingly mild line made me chuckle out loud. Thank you, m’dear. You are a gift.

This is good, but there’s so much. She makes me feel like all of these details are absolutely relevant but my brain is struggling to hold it all. I must finish.

If I had 6 consecutive hours (I’m savoring this guy) to devote to reading this book, I would. I miss those days. As it is, I will continue to flit from one 10-minute session to another and hope I’ll eventually finish this by next year.

Action, adventure, ze romance, the feminism, so much history, loving it!

I can’t stop reading. I’m fully invested in this archeological adventure. And I love Adam. The American. With the chest.
