A quick and interesting read about the earliest modern example of industrial espionage - smuggling out of tea plants by East India Company from China. The narrative feels a bit disjointed but still worth the read.

I immediately fell in love with Mike Duncan’s history of Rome podcast, so naturally I wanted to read his first published book. It is a terrific account of turbulent time period in Roman history between the destruction of Carthage and the fall of the Republic.
