I’m gonna throw this out now so it’s on the record:

Let me guess. Kyle just punched Ben in the face because somehow someway, they/one of them/someone close (their dad?) is responsible for the fire that scarred Fallon. I hope I’m wrong because nothing is worse than predictability.

Hardins character grew so much in book 2. And now we’re here. 50 pages in and there are RED flags everywhere. He’s controlling, manipulative, abusive and aggressive. Tessa is about 10 pages to the wind of fucking idiot. I’m having a hard time getting into this one because I just feel like Tessa is gonna really piss me off and agree to not go to Seattle.

Okay, I have to say. I appreciate Hardins character development thus far. He is significantly calmer and more appropriate now than he was in the first book. His jealousy and obsessive behavior gets a little old, but overall I think there’s a big improvement. Tessa is still annoying as all get out with her jumpy conclusions.

I actually was enjoying this book. It was pleasant enough and had me going “ope” more than once...and then Hardin tells Tessa about what happened back home and she goes on this “oh my gooooooddddd, I don’t know you at alllllll, I’m gonna jump to conclusions”

Don’t get me wrong. Hardin was FUCKED up doing what he did. But the past is the past.
