I actually have no idea what page I'm on since I'm listening to the audiobook. I wish there was a way to see what percentage you're on in the audiobook. There probably is...

Anyway, I'm not sure what's going on in this book (no spoilers!), but it kinda reminds me of "The Game", you know that 1997 David Fincher movie with Michael Douglas and Sean Penn. IDK if that's what this is, but I'm curious to see where it goes.

I'm listening to the audiobook. There's a part where the narrator says she feels like an American Girl doll because of the clothes she's wearing. Being that she's found herself in 1855, she's obviously referring to Kirsten! Thought Kirsten had adorable clothes and the narrator is not loving the clothes. Anyway, I thought that was amusing since I've been in my American Girl era, reading all the books.

Jessi’s handwriting is different. I mean, they’re all a little different, but hers is totally different. And thank God! Her original handwriting gave me a headache! It was hard to read and reminded me of how an old lady would write! I approve this decision to change her handwriting!

I think this book takes place between books 55 and 59. I say this because it's before Dawn moved to California (the first or second time) and Abby joined the BSC. There is no Abby in this book. Also, Mallory's fear of riding horses when she took lessons at Kendallwood Farm and that was book 54. Mary Anne has long hair on the cover and that was book 60 she got her makeover.

I’m a huge fan of the BSC (read them in my youth)!so of course had to get this. Already on page 2 and it appears Dawn is living in Stoneybrook? What is going on here?

Who knew this would be the second book this year (after "Project Hail Mary") where I would hear the word "carapace" so many times. (I'm listening to the audio book.)

I’m listening to the audio book. I’m a huge Survivor fan and I listen to Stephen Fishbach on Survivor Know it Alls with Rob Cesternino ( how I heard about the book). If you’re a Survivor fan, there’s a lot of iykyk moments.

This says I am 100% done, but I still have about 30 pages left…

Well I finally figured out why it’s called “The Good Girl”

Okay, I’m calling it now: I think Ava is going to end up with Matt’s roommate, Nihal bc it’s clear she and Matt are not compatible and I’m seeing subtle hints of signs pointing to her and Nihal

Also, this book is making me laugh so 👍

I haven’t read a Sophie Kinsella book in probably over a decade and after her passing in December, it checked out some of her books I hadn’t read yet. As much as I like her Shopaholic series, I always enjoyed her stand alone novels too.

The protagonist often writes authors about books she’s read of theirs or shares what she’s reading with her friend. (I wonder if she had Goodreads, heh.) she wrote to Diana Gabaldon and told her she read “Outlander” in two days. There’s no way! It took me a month (probably more) to read that!

I’m really enjoying this book. I’m not done with it, but I’m already recommending it.

I do find it interesting that the protagonist writes “post script” instead of just writing P.S. like most people do. It seems very formal which I guess fits her character.

So this whole book is a bunch of letters and e-mails (hence the title). I think the last time I read a book that was like this was “Bridget Jone’s Diary” (but those were all diary entries, duh) and that was a looooooooooong time ago.

One of the main characters put her mother in a retirement home called Shady Oaks. Tell me you watch “The Golden Girls” without telling me you watch “The Golden Girls”.
