I skipped a couple chapters because I couldn't handle the explicit violence. From Chapter 8 on, I have enjoyed her journey! Here's a quote worth discussing the word choice: "Elizabeth still firmly believed no woman should be forced to have a baby."

I love the audiobook with Parker's expressive and calming voice.

I think I like the book, but the audiobook reader doesn't have much range in intensity, so I never know if any event or idea is a bigger deal than another. Or do you get that vibe when reading with your eyes, too? Constant drama at 100%?

Beautiful story of motherhood, faith, and I'm sure there's more but I'm only through Act 1.

I am enjoying how the characters evaluate their life, then their actions help show their values.

I enjoy learning how Annie's process of trusting God is just that: a process. Having fun is all about focusing on the journey!

This is tough to read. The poetry is beautiful, so it effectively saddens me. I just need to get to the end. I know there's hope at the end.
