Beautifully written. Felt very much like an examination of the human condition. Not necessarily eventful but poignant. Honestly I probably would’ve given it a 4 if I wasn’t reading it in a weird mental space due to our city was being occupied by federal agents and harming our citizens.

Yeah…it was fine. I enjoyed it.

Really not for me. Dialogue was corny. Story line slow. First BOM book I didn’t like.

I like the slow burn nature of this book. Really well done.

And I must really want to spend some time in a deserted island lighthouse bc I’ve read like 3 books based on that.

Also, shout out to the 40/50 year old steamy scenes. Respect.

A sweet book. Felt honest. A little long.

The prose from this guy, 👌 Love him.

Pretty sure the second part of this book will be a movie.

And while I didn’t love it as much as his other books, still liked it a lot.

I have very big feelings about this book. Was not a bad book by any means. But I have a hard time rating it so high because of all the icky feels. But is that the sign of a impactful book?
