"Two rivals. A plot twist they didn't see coming..." - excuse me, but how did they not see it coming? When they're obviously attracted to each other from the very beginning. I just dislike this "we have to hate each other, until we can admit we actually love each other" trope so much! It's exhausting how often it is used in romance. This might be the last enemies to lovers book I'll ever read, I'm just done.

I don't know when I became so cynical in regards of love, but I find myself annoyed by anything in romance novels nowadays.. like in this book... who gets married on Christmas Eve? Or.. who falls in love with someone so desperately that they imagine their wedding and see themselves still holding hands at 80 - AFTER THEY JUST MET 5 MIN AGO?? What if the guy's an ashole? Maybe talk to him for a sec first, jeez

Uhmmm, no 😐 Dillon and Dylan are not "exactly" the same 🙄 and yes, I know she was drunk, but she annoys me.. Only not nearly as much as West does. He'st he most obnoxious and full of himself guy I read about in a loooong time. Ugh. Let's see if I'll be able to stick with this to the end.

I'm shocked and also appealed by Pip's behavior towards the end. Is this a dream she has while drugged? Because if not, she's doing some really sketchy shit that I cannot be ok with 😐 and she's dragged Ravi into it. The hell is happening?

I don't know if things are going to get better from here, but so far I think I've rarely hated a character as much as I hate Mary Kay's bff Melanda. Trying to excuse her behavior with this sentence "female relationships are complicated", I just can't 😑 No you sicko, that's not it! You're just a toxic piece of shit 🙃

Also, he's centuries old, so why does the oldest of the Greek Gods look so youthful still? And why the heck does no one really know how exactly he looks like?? He owns a damn nightclub and is after all a freaking God. Makes NO SENSE to me.

So far, this book is The Martian turned up to 11 and I'm loving every second of it 😍

Ok, so I said this month I won't start another new book until I finish the ones that I have on "currently reading", but I can't wait any longer - the anticipation is killing meeeeee. Here I goooooo! *fingers crossed* 🤞🏼

We interrupt our scheduled Christmas reading program to read Rebel of the Sands, because I slacked last month and didn't read this for the bookclub as I should have 🙈 fingers crossed it's at least worth my time 🤞🏼😂
