Vyborna slovenska literatura. Velmi mi to pripominalo kombinaciu exiatencneho tulania v Obratniku raka od Henryho Mullera, hlbkova sonda do duse v Kunderovej Nesmrtelnosti a fatalisticky milostny vztah v Petrovi a Lucii od Rolanda. A to cele na pozadi predvojnoveho Pariza (1938-1939).

It’s been a while since I read something so original, so eloquent, so hypnotizing. And especially now, when we can only dream about travel, this novel scratches the right itch. It will make you appreciate the possibility to move from place to place freely so much more once the gates open again.

Olga won the Booker Prize for this book, then scored the highest prize — the Nobel.
