I was thinking about JCOs and decided to read this novella.

"The novel's themes and plot are reminiscent of Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita."

When you read Treasure Island as an adult, you might notice things like casual racism, old-fashioned language, and cultural biases that you didn’t see when you were younger. Since it came out in 1883, the book gives us a peek into how people thought about race back then.

Note: I never rate books I've read.
5 stars = books I have read cover to cover.
