Bheemakaaya is a simple and thought-provoking story of the life of pailvaan men which has been penned by Sri SLB in his teen days. It revolves around the life one such koripet of Mysore called Subbu. However what caught my attention was a prostitute Raajamma, her unconditional love, affection and sacrifice was one of the best lessons. Another character I loved is that of gowri. What I learnt from her is "acceptance".

One of the finest novels of Kannada Sahitya, "sandhyaaraaga" has occupied a special place in my heart today. In just 150 pages, which on an average takes half a day to read, 'Aa Na Kru' has painted the subtle feelings of a true musician. As a listener of Carnatic music, the novel appealed to me so much in no time that, the "purvikalyani" mentioned in the novel has now become yet another reason to remain as my fav.
