So far, The Mist and The Jaunt have knocked my socks off. I know King and many others have said the ending to the movie adaptation of The Mist was better, I really appreciate King's ending to the original story. It's just as hopeless without being aggressively bleak. I was shocked and left speechless after watching the movie, but I think the ending to the story left me with more to think about.
