The Rise of Rome: The Making of the World's Greatest Empire
Everitt mixes history and myth nicely while telling the story of the founding of Rome. He is clearly a storyteller, and not simply a historian or biographer. Well done so far.

The Daedalus Incident (Daedalus #1)
This is an interest book. I have had to suspend quite a bit of disbelief in the beginning, but I'm glad I did. Each page keeps me moving forward to see what the next twist on history will be.

The War That Ended Peace: The Road to 1914
Interesting so far. The global tensions between the existing empires are being exposed.

The War That Ended Peace: The Road to 1914
My ambitious reading project for the holidays. Macmillan is a beautiful writer, and so far is making a very dense subject very entertaining to read.
